How the resume translator works
Upload your resume
Drop in a PDF, Word document or text file. We read the text and find your jobs, education, skills and the rest, in whatever language it is written.
Choose the languages
Tell us the language your resume is in and the one you need. The translation is written the way resumes are written in that country, not word for word.
Review it in the editor
Your translated resume opens in the resume builder. Check every line, fix anything you would say differently, pick a template and download it.
What changes besides the words
- Section headings use the convention of the target language, so an English Summary becomes a French Profil and a German Kurzprofil.
- Dates, month abbreviations and "Present" follow the local format.
- Degree names are given the way an employer in that country would recognise them.
- Company names, school names, product names and tools stay exactly as they are.
Translate your resume into 17 languages
English (US and UK), French, Spanish, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Italian, German, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Lithuanian, Polish, Indonesian, Turkish and Finnish. Translate in any direction between them.
Common questions
Is the resume translator free?
Yes. You can translate a resume without creating an account. The translated resume opens in the editor, where you can edit it and pick a template. Downloading the finished PDF needs a free account.
Will my formatting be kept?
Your content is kept: every job, bullet point, degree and skill. The layout comes from the template you choose in the editor, so you are not stuck with the design of the file you uploaded.
How good is the translation?
It is written by an AI model that is told to sound like a native speaker writing a resume, with the register, verb forms and headings resumes use in that language. It is still your resume, so read it through in the editor before you send it.
